Nigeria’s former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has described as being false the story by DSS about the invasion of court to re-arrest Omoyele Sowore, adding that anyone who believe the story is “a village idiot”.

The Department of State Services (DSS) had said that its officers did not arrest Omoyele Sowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, in court, claiming that the journalist’s supporters were only acting an “orchestrated drama” in the video widely circulated on social media.

Explaining why Sowore was arrested, the DSS said the activist “resorted to acts inimical to security”.

Reacting to the claim, Fani-Kayode said;

“Anyone that believes the DSS’s story about what happened in court during the re-arrest of @YeleSowore must be an ignoramus, a fool, a dullard or a village idiot or perhaps all 4 rolled into one.

“If you can believe their concoted& childish fairy tale then you can believe anything.”
